You’ll build on a foundation of essential skills – drawing, drafting, color, and basic design principles. From there, youll study the more specialized topics of space planning, interior construction and detailing, safety and building codes, and computer-aided design (CAD).
Students also acquire a historical perspective of interior design along with a working knowledge of industry business practices, ethics and collaboration techniques for working with related professionals.
Interior design graduates go on to such entry-level positions as Design Assistant in interior design and architectural firms, Facilities Manager, Sales Representative, Set Designer and Space Planner.
